The Gift Aid scheme

This scheme increases the value of donations made to charities. The Ménière's Society has always been very grateful to people for donations made as these are so important in enabling the Ménière's Society to carry on with its vital work

Recent changes in UK tax law mean that, if you are a taxpayer, you can increase all your donations by nearly a third. No matter what the size of your donation we can now reclaim the income tax you have paid adding (currently) an extra 28p to every £1 you donate.

New gift aid scheme

This concession has been made under the Gift Aid scheme announced by the Chancellor in the 2000 budget. The scheme, which started from 6 April 2000 replaces the old Gift Aid and Deeds of Covenant schemes. (Where an existing Deed of Covenant is in operation there are transitional arrangements to convert it into the new scheme). All you have to do is to complete a simple Gift Aid Declaration and return it to us by one of the methods listed below. You can make a declaration before, at the time of or after your donation, to cover a single or any number of donations.

You can also click here to download a copy of the declaration to complete, which you can then send back to us by post or fax, Many thanks.

We hope you will take advantage of the scheme and help make a significant difference to the vital funds the Ménière's Society receives from members and supporters donations.
